Sites affected by the Fred algorithm had some problems such as thin quality of content, few ads, keyword stuffing, low-quality backlinks, and lead generation and revenue.

Explained : Google Algorithm Fred

Google Fred is an algorithm designed by Google to target black-hat tactics. Google Fred pointedly looks for excessive ads, low-value content, and websites that generally offer very little user benefit. Website which is specifically designed only to drive revenue rather than providing helpful information to the people. Then they seem to be penalized the hardest.

Have Quality Backlinks

If you want to recover your website then first check out all your site links if there is any irrelevant site linked to your website then remove it. There are many SEO tools which you can use to identify or track your all website links and in this manner you can easily check the backlink quality. If any authentic website gives you backlink then it is good for your website.

Get rid of Keyword Stuffing on your Site

Feed high quality content on your site. Because high quality content on your website increases authenticity and high quality of content doesn’t mean that your content should contain high words and more keywords. Provide relevant and reliable information to your customers. Practice you have to do to make your content high quality is to create the content yourself. Write content on the topic which is trending and unique because if your content is similar to anyone then you have to compete with others to get the top ranking in the Google search engine result pages.

How to Recover from Fred ?

Do an Ad Audit

Audit your website page that it should contain reliable content and try to give as more information as possible if you allow others to run ads on your website.

Google’s Page Layout Algorithm assesses and penalizes pages if there are a lot of ads, but little content value.

Don’t Show More Ads on Your Website
